Notfall – Wer ist zu verständigen ?
 
Bei Verkehrsunfällen haben die meisten Verletzten ein Mobil-Telefon bei sich. 
Die Helfer wissen aber nicht, welche Angehörige aus den langen Adresslisten zu kontaktieren sind.

Wir, die UICR ( Union Internationale des Chauffeurs Routiers) unterstützen die Initiative, 
dass jeder in sein Handy-Adressbuch die im Notfall zu kontaktierende Person unter dem international 
anerkannten Pseudo eingibt: 

ICE (= In Case of Emergency). 

Unter diesem Namen sollte man die Rufnummer der Person eintragen, welche im Notfall durch Polizei, 
Feuerwehr oder erste Hilfe anzurufen ist. 
Sind mehrere Personen zu kontaktieren, braucht man ICE1, ICE2, ICE3, usw.
 

Emergency – who is to be contacted?

In accidents most of the involved and/or injured people carry a mobile phone with them. 
Persons assisting the injured/involved often don’t know who to contact when accessing the 
phonebook on the stranger’s mobile phone. 

UICR (International Union of professional drivers) support the initiative to enter this 
internationally renown code name in the address book of your mobile phone as the person to contact:
ICE (=in Case of Emergency)
Under this name the contact details of the person should be entered, who could be contacted by 
the police, fire department or first aid. If several persons can be contacted, please use ICE1, ICE2, 
and ICE3 etc.
 

It is easy to do, doesn’t cost anything and can be very helpful in an emergency situation
